The Korean drama Dream High is one of the dramas I finished watching last month.  The drama stars Taecyon (2PM), Ham Eun-jung (Coffee House, T-ara), Suzy (miss A), Kim  Soo Hyun, Wooyoung (2PM) and IU.

Dream High revolves around the challenges encountered by the students of Kirin School of the Arts as they aspire to debut as artists in the entertainment industry.

I found Dream High entertaining although I’m not very familiar with most of the very young lead stars, except for Ham Eun-jung whom I loved in Coffee House.  Honestly, I have never heard of Kim Soo Hyun, Taecyon, Wooyoung, Suzy, and IU pre-Dream High. This is understandable since I have never watched the drama Giant or know that many k-pop artists and groups.

Aside from the plot, what I really liked about Dream High is the supporting cast.  Uhm Ki-joon as Kang Oh-yuk is just marvelous and I loved his scenes with Lee Yoon-ji.   The characters of JYP and Ahn Sun Young are also laugh-out- loud funny.  And do watch out for Ahn Seo-hyun, too, as  the little girl’s so spunky.

Another thing I appreciated in Dream High is the dancing, especially with Taecyon in it.  He moves so well for such a tall guy.  Ham Eun-jung and Wooyoung are very good dancers, too. Also worth mentioning are some very touching scenes scattered throughout the drama, and the one where Hye-mi (Suzy) sang Winter Child to Jin guk (Taecyon) was just so heart-warming.  And if you’re always into romantic pairings, you’ll appreciate the Hyemi-Taecyon, Hyemi-SamDong, and Jason-PilSuk tandems.
