The news that Kang Ji-hwan (Coffee House) and Yoon Eun-hye (Coffee Prince/My Fair lady) are the lead stars of the upcoming SBS Korean romantic comedy drama “Lie to Me” (Sweet Scandal/Try Lying to Me) got me so excited. I like both actors so the drama automatically becomes a must-watch for me.
In “Lie to Me”, Yoon Eun-hye plays Gong Ah-jung, a Ministry of Culture official who figures into a marriage scandal involving Hyun Ki-joon, played by Kang Ji-hwan. What makes the situation really complicated is that Kang Ji-hwan’ character is a hotel CEO of noble ancestry and has a reappearing ex-fiancee.
“Lie to Me” is set to replace Midas and will premier on May 9, 2011. Broadcast is at 21:55 pm every Monday & Tuesday. The drama is directed by Kim Soo-Ryong (Green Rose) and Kwon Hyuk Chan (Secret Garden). Other stars include Hong Soo Hyun (Only You/ Sangdoo) and Ryu Seung Soo.
Another highly-anticipated SBS Korean drama set to premier on May 25 is City Hunter starring Lee Min-ho (Boys Over Flowers/Personal Taste) and Park Min-young (Sungkyunkwan Scandal). Again, I like both actors so I’m going to save the date.
It seems that SBS is on fire this year – they have 49 Days and the upcoming “Lie to Me” and City Hunter. I’m a bit worried because between my blogs, social life, and these SBS dramas, I don’t think I’ll have time to sleep.
By the way, may I say that Kang Ji-hwan looks dashing in a suit?
